[Revealed] Amaechi's ₦ .5 billion Event That Never Held

Revelations have surfaced of a monumental transnational cash glitz involving the immediate past government of Rivers State and Swiss owned Crans Montana Forum (CMF) based in Monaco.

According to records available to Truly Nigeria, the deal dating back to 2012 was for CMF to organise a special event on Oil & Gas Security under the flagship of an international Homeland and Global Security Forum which would attract the participation of renowned world leaders and boost the clout of the former Governor, Chibuike Amaechi as a notable Nigerian statesman. These were part of the grand strategy of the former Governor's publicist to position him as the most qualified Vice Presidential hopeful in preparation for the nomination.

The reason the event never held has become a mystery too intricate to unravel at this point in spite of the Rivers State Government spending close to a whopping € 2 million (approximately  500 million) of the commonwealth of Rivers people covering registration and many other sundry expenses including travels, accommodation and meetings in Dubai in preparation for what would have been an epoch making event, that sadly did not happen.
Ms. Maxine Menson, A sleek Ghanaian lady and CEO of Ghana-based 702 Productions is said to have facilitated the transaction between the Rivers State Government and Crans Montana Forum, while former Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mrs Ibim Semenitari principally represented the Government in the transaction. Maxine, in July 2014, also facilitated the Port Harcourt Energy, Environment and Investment Forum [EEIF] tailored after the Crans Motana Forum but it failed to get the needed national buzz of a high profile event of its kind. Former Ghanaian President John Kufour was in attendance and a few others.

Sources indicate that funding for the ill fated Crans Montana Forum event that would have held in Port Harcourt were reportedly wired in forex of different tranches and at various times to the organisers Crans Montana Forum through Ms Maxine Menson, the go-between. It is not yet known what the terms of the deal are and whether the funds would be remitted back to the coffers of the Rivers State Government since the event had stalled for years and its purpose had been over taken by the unpredictability of Nigerian politics.
