BANNED FRAUDULENT MARKERTERS REGROUP AGAINST CAPITAL OIL

A group of fraudulent Petroleum Marketers who were hit by the ban by Capital oil and Gas on Fraudulent marketers from lifting petroleum product from Capital Oil terminals until they comply with the directive to deliver product at designated locations and sell at government approved prices has launched an attack on the firm in a bid to misinform the public of the truth. No doubt the league of beneficiaries from these fraudulent marketers extends to the high and mighty in IPMAN, as a purported report by the a factional president, Chinedu Okoronkwo alleged that Capital Oil has refused to release PMS in its tanks to marketers without citing it was as a result of the ban on their fraudulent activities.

True to Capital oil claims and reasons for the ban, Nigerians have been forced to buy PMS at an alarming rate of N120 per liter over the past months and this has hiked fare rates across the country causing untold hardship on millions of Nigerians.

Recall that a similar situation made Capital Oil release petroleum products to Nigerians at official rates in May this year when some petroleum marketers instigated a two-week long strike that almost crippled the nation and would have affected the power transition from ex-president Jonathan to President Buhari on the 29th of May, 2015.

The strike was called off days after Capital Oil’s benevolence. Capital Oil has repeatedly been at the fore front of ensuring that petroleum products get to Nigerians at approved government prices but this obviously does not go well with fraudulent camps in the sector. These fraudulent camps in a bid to dampen the just actions of the firm, would engage in cheap blackmails like the one cited above in an effort to misinform Nigerians and continue to bring hardship to the populace while enriching themselves through their fraudulent activities.

However, the company is determined in its cause against fraudulent marketers and has insisted that marketers who do not comply with government’s directive to deliver products at government approved prices will not be allowed to lift products from its facilities dispelling the claims by the affected marketers as cheap, untrue and a calculated attempt to misinform the public.  A source from the company also revealed to Reports Afrique that as a matter of policy and for the benefit of the vulnerable masses, the company will not be distracted by the blackmail by fraudulent marketers and will keep its new decision enforced until the affected marketers comply with government directives.
