Suspected ritualists’ dump 23 year-old lady body at refuse site


A body of a 23 year-old lady, identified as Sitira, was found at a refuse site at Olomore junction of Abeokuta,on Sunday morning,by people suspected to be ritualists.
Nigerian Tribune gathered that the victim was last seen on Saturday night,before the unfortunate happened.
It was learnt that the deceased and her friend whose body had not been found were thrown off in a moving jeep ‎at the site located along old Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.
‎Items found at the refuse site were ladies underwears,powder,lipsticks,nail polish among others.
The severed body of the victim was found some 500 metres away from were the items were discovered,while a close look suggested that her right arm had been cut away by the suspected ritualists.
A relative of the victim, who identified herself as Esther Adewuyi,said the deceased had been living with her mother at Iberekodo area of the town,since she lost her child some years back.
Adewuyi said her last discussion with Sitira was on the preparation for her “freedom” as an hairdresser apprentice,last Saturday, and that no one in her household knew when she went out.
Her remains was taken away by policemen attached to Lafenwa Divisional Police Headquarters.
When contacted the State Police Public Relations,Muyiwa Adejobi,confirmed the incident,saying the Command had since commenced investigation into the matter.
