PDP will take back its “inheritance” from APC – Fayose

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state on Wednesday said the Peoples Democratic Party would take back its inheritance from the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Mr. Fayose, who was with five other PDP governors at an interdenominational thanksgiving service to celebrate the validation of Udom Emmanuel’s election as governor of Akwa Ibom state, said the current generation of PDP will make a difference.
He said, “If we put our house in order, if we stay together, if we put the past behind us, we will take back our inheritance. It is our inheritance taken by deception, taken by propaganda, taken by hidden agenda.”

“I want to felicitate, I want to rejoice, I want to stand up and say congratulations to my brother, the young dynamic, energetic governor of Akwa Ibom state, Mr Udom Emmanuel. Congratulations! You don’t need anyone to tell you or tell us that you are loved, and this is the home of PDP.
“We are in the boat together, we will stand by you, we will win together with you, all of us in this generation of PDP will make a difference, it is a time to reflect and after the reflection we are going to take our inheritance back.
“When I got into this premises and I saw this crowd, I don’t know how they could have explained, I don’t know what the situation would have been in this state if it had gone otherwise.
“But in every situation we have to bless the living God that it did not go the other way, because the power of the people is greater than those of us in power. For
whatever we do, the people come first.

“The Lord will bless the people of Akwa Ibom, the Lord will be with you, on behalf of my other governors, I say congratulations.”
