Owhefere condemns Ogedegbe's abduction, calls for his immediate release

Delta State House of Assembly Majority Leader and Member representing Isoko North Constituency, Hon. (Barr.) Tim Kome Owhefere KSC, has condemned Sunday's abduction of the Chairman, Emevor Council of Chiefs, High Chief Joseph A. Ogedegbe.
The Lawmaker in a strong-worded statement, described the development as "wicked and reprehensible".
" I received with an utterly disturbed mind, the news of the kidnap of our father, Chief Joseph Ogedegbe, and I begin to wonder what is really happening in our today's world.
"Chief Ogedegbe is an old man who has worked tirelessly all his life to earn an enviable place in the society. For Christ sake, the man deserve the peace and tranquility that comes with old age. I am joining my voice with those of other well-meaning Nigerians to call for his immediate and unconditional release", the statement reads.

Chief Odegegbe, a 91-year-old Finance expert who retired from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as its Foreign Operations Director, was picked-up by his abductors at the premises of St. Michael’s Anglican Church, Emevor, where he had gone for the day's Service.
